FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a USI and do I need one?
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required for nationally recognised training in Australia. It is free and takes a few minutes to create at usi.gov.au.
Are there any entry requirements?
There are no formal prerequisites for our short courses, but you will need suitable English language, literacy and numeracy skills, basic computer skills and access to a device with internet. See Entry Requirements.
When do I do the online learning?
After you attend your face-to-face class. Your learning portal access is set up as soon as you have paid, so you can look around beforehand, but the online learning and assessment are completed after the class. Use the “Start course” button on your confirmation page or go to My Account > My Courses.
What do I bring to my face-to-face class?
Current photo ID and your USI. There is no online work to finish beforehand — you complete the online learning and assessment after your class.
Can I change my class date?
Yes. Contact us before your class and we will move you to another available date. See our Refund Policy for details.
