Learner Support

Training Helps provides a range of academic and non-academic learning support and resources to help learners achieve competency throughout the course.

We conduct pre-training reviews, Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) checks and induction with all learners. This helps us identify any specific or additional needs that may affect your learning. A Training Plan is developed with you at enrolment or before the course starts, taking into account any learning or LLN support needs.

Personal issues such as stress, workload, health, family and relationship issues can all affect your ability to focus on study. If you are experiencing difficulties with any aspect of your training, talk to your trainer/assessor or email info@thlearning.edu.au. We will listen to your concerns and provide appropriate support, including referral to external counselling professionals or service providers. Support and referral by Training Helps is free of charge; external providers may charge a fee.

Training progression

Our courses are self-paced, so you control how quickly you work through the learning. Accredited short courses must be completed within three months. You attend your face-to-face practical class first, then complete the online learning and assessment.

If you are having trouble meeting your timeframes, let your trainer know as early as possible. We understand that work and family responsibilities sometimes get in the way. Learners who withdraw will receive a Statement of Attainment for any units satisfactorily completed.
